These are some notable pieces I've collected over the course of my political career, both about me and about Newark generally. Most fill me with great pride, with one notable exception.
The exception is Esquire's "The Battle of Newark." I include this piece only because it was widely read and it would be to my great shame if it were someone's lone impression of Newark. It is a caricature rooted in sensationalism, a great disservice to this City and a shock coming from an author who spent months witnessing Newark's progress and potential. I am pleased that Esquire printed my letter of rebuttal, which you can find here and below.
