Ledger Live: Newark Mayor Cory Booker and Twitter Ledger

Live for Thursday May 21st, 2009 - Ledger Live with Brian Donohue. Newark Mayor Cory Booker now has nearly twice as many followers on the social networking site Twitter than votes he received in his landslide election win in 2006. He's been called "The Mayor of Twitter" and is moving up into the top 400 Twitter users worldwide. He tweets about everything from human rights potholes to Star Trek updating his feed on the fly with his blackberry. The use of Twitter by an elected official to communicate directly with the voting public is still fairly rare for a politician. And Booker's Twitter habit wasn't always the case.
